Gallery Hanging System

The gallery has a hanging system that allows easy hanging of framed pictures without using nails and a series of hooks with a secure release.

There are a mixture of “Locator Standard Hanger Nylon” and “Locator Cobra Hanger, nylon” in 1m 1.5m and  2m lengths. These allow hanging floor to ceiling depending on size of the prints.

There are two hinged panels which can be folded back into the wall if required but help to break up the space and allow for more hanging space.

Two easels are also available, one of which can be used outside.

Lighting

Lighting is provided by two hanging window lights with two over head spot bulbs above the door, and two uplighters. The main lighting is from 4 angelpoise overheads with 5 heads. These are non dimmable. At the rear of the gallery there are 6 overhead spots that are dimmable and LED tape around the rear wall.

Walls are white throughout.

Kitchen facilities

There is a small internal kitchen with Fridge, Microwave/oven and kettle and Nespresso coffee machine and toaster. There are wine glasses and flutes (approx. 40 of each) available.

Toilet

Off the internal kitchen is a small toilet with wash hand basin.

The building is fully alarmed and has an internal smoke alarm and camera

Rear Office

This remains private throughout the hire for insurance purposes although can be used for storage. Access may be required by Gallery-Close throughout.

Exhibitions

All planned exhibitions must be cleared by Gallery-Close in terms of content, quality, display, opening hours and opening events etc.

All exhibitions need to be manned by the holder unless by prior agreement with Gallery-Close.

Installation

Installation of weekend exhibitions takes place on Friday and clearout by Sunday 6pm. Likewise on weekly hire move in on the morning and moveout in the evening of the last day

Booking and Fees

50% four weeks before opening 100% two weeks before opening.

Sales 100% to exhibitor

Breakages and damage to building,  installed equipment, glasses, furniture etc to be paid for.
